About the MCP server

What does the Qomvia MCP server do?+

It exposes Qomvia Market search and checkout plus Qomvia's agent-readiness scoring as Model Context Protocol tools, so an assistant can find, compare and buy a product or score a domain without leaving the conversation.

Does the MCP server need an API key?+

The public https://qomvia.com/api/mcp server needs no key for Market and readiness tools; a qva_ Market key raises its limits. The authenticated https://qomvia.com/api/mcp/account server needs an owner-scoped qvk_ key from Dashboard → API & MCP → API keys.

Which clients work with it?+

Any MCP client that speaks streamable HTTP, including Claude Desktop, Cursor and OpenAI-compatible agent frameworks. A plain GET on the endpoint returns the server descriptor.

Can an agent buy through the MCP server?+

Yes. search_products compares every Qomvia Market shop, create_checkout_session and complete_checkout return the merchant's payment link, and the buyer pays the merchant directly.

Can an agent run my AI Monitor?+

Yes, connect the account MCP with a qvk_ key that has monitor:run. The agent estimates the credit cost first and sends max_credits with each run.

How is my account kept safe?+

Account keys are shown once, stored as hashes, and can be scoped to sites and permissions with expiry or revocation. Do not paste a key into a chat you do not control.
